POPIA Notice

We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (Act No. 4 of 2013) of South Africa.

1. Responsible party

GrowthBridge Africa is the “Responsible Party” for the personal information you share with us. You may contact our Information Officer at info@growthbridgeafrica.co.za

2. Lawful processing

We process personal information lawfully and in a reasonable manner. We only collect information that is:

  • Adequate, relevant and not excessive for the stated purpose.
  • Collected directly from you, except where otherwise permitted by law.
  • Processed with your consent or another lawful basis under POPIA.

3. Purpose specification

We collect personal information to respond to enquiries, share knowledge about partner platforms, facilitate introductions you request, and send you updates you have opted into. We do not use your information for any unrelated purpose without your consent.

4. Further processing limitation

We will not process your personal information for a purpose that is incompatible with the purpose for which it was originally collected.

5. Information quality and security safeguards

We take reasonable steps to ensure personal information is complete, accurate and up to date, and we apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect it from loss, damage or unauthorised access.

6. Data subject participation

You have the right to:

  • Confirm whether we hold personal information about you.
  • Request access to that information.
  • Request correction or deletion of inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive or unlawfully obtained information.
  • Object to the processing of your personal information.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

7. Cross-border transfers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GrowthBridge Africa will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from your use of our Services or your engagement with any partner platform.
